Clay worked in the Madison Public Library for over a decade, and is most known for having made themes for self-checkout, found at CheckoutThemes.com. Sequoya's implementation of them won the South Central Library System's 2010 Chester Pismo Snavely Memorial Award for a Nifty Activity.
Clay also made a MediaWiki staff wiki that was used for a while at Sequoya, so seeing this wiki is a bit like visiting an old friend.
