Hi! I created this wiki. I am the Head of Instructional Services at Portland State University in Oregon.
I am the author of the blog Information Wants To Be Free and write the monthly "Technology in Practice" column for American Libraries. In March 2006, I was named a Mover and Shaker by Library Journal pretty much for just playing with technology. ;)
Last year I wrote a book called Social Software in Libraries: Building Collaboration, Communication and Community Online.
I am interested in services to distance learners, social software, virtual reference services, information literacy, web design, open source software, and online instruction.
Thanks for visiting and for being a part of this wiki! You can contact me on the discussion tab of this page.
