Una [http://www.escoinstalaciones.com.mx instalación eléctrica] es el conjunto de equipos y materiales que permiten  transportar y distribuir la energía eléctrica partiendo desde el punto de conexión de la compañía suministro hasta máquinas y aparatos receptores para su utilización final, de una manera eficiente y segura, garantizando al usuario flexibilidad, comodidad y economía en la instalación.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Debido a que la presencia de la energía eléctrica significa un riesgo para el ser humano, se requiere suministrar la máxima seguridad posible para salvaguardar su integridad así como la de los bienes materiales, cada parte que integre la instalación eléctrica debe estar ubicada estratégicamente con el fin de lograr seguridad absoluta. Además de esto el servicio de instalaciones eléctricas deberá ser eficiente y económico, integrando lo técnico y lo económico. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Derivado de lo anterior, resulta indispensable asegurar un mantenimiento preventivo adecuado para garantizar que la instalación eléctrica aproveche al máximo su vida útil. Todo diseño de una instalación eléctrica  deberá estar bien basado en la física y tener su buen historial de casos de éxito en la experiencia operativa y  por supuesto en la seguridad de la instalación eléctrica.&lt;br /&gt;

Contar con un optimo servicio de instalaciones eléctricas, contribuye a preservar su patrimonio y reducir costos ahorrando energía y evitando siniestros, prolongando la actividad y productividad de su negocio.&lt;br /&gt;

Por su magnitud las instalaciones eléctricas se clasifican en:&lt;br /&gt;

Instalaciones eléctricas industriales; su alcance inicia con la construcción de la acometida eléctrica que puede ser de media, alta o baja tensión, en este tipo de instalaciones se toma en cuenta desde el comienzo la totalidad de los circuitos de fuerza, de iluminación y de sistemas especiales ya sea en construcciones nuevas o en remodelaciones.&lt;br /&gt;

Instalaciones eléctricas comerciales; son hechas conforme a lineamientos técnicos y normativos vigentes, que contribuyen al ahorro de volúmenes considerables de energía eléctrica en edificios comerciales. &lt;br /&gt;

Instalaciones eléctrica residenciales, como su nombre lo indica es un conjunto de obras e instalaciones ejecutadas con el fin de hacer llegar electricidad a todos los aparatos eléctricos de una casa habitación.&lt;br /&gt;

Tomando en consideración las características de los locales o áreas donde se desarrollarán las instalaciones, pueden clasificarse en: &lt;br /&gt;

•	Visibles entubadas &lt;br /&gt;
•	Temporales &lt;br /&gt;
•	De emergencia &lt;br /&gt;
•	Parcialmente ocultas &lt;br /&gt;
•	Ocultas &lt;br /&gt;
•	A prueba de explosión&lt;br /&gt;
