There are several advantages to having a stated policy:
• It is available to all in the same form. • It can be referred to, so that anyone who wishes to can check the policy. • It can be readily disseminated to all who are affected by it. • It can be taught to new employees easily. • It forces managers to think more sharply about the policy as it is being written,
thus achieving further clarity.
• It ensure that everyone will be treated substantially the same way under a given
condition.
